Vegan Cheese Sticks

Ever had vegan cheese sticks? The secret ingredient is definitely not what you think it is!
1/2 to 1 block firm tofu

1 cup dried breadcrumbs, seasoned

3 teaspoons Ener-G egg replacer

4 tablespoons cold water + 2 teaspoons

1 Tablespoon soy sauce

Mix egg replacer with the water and soy sauce.

Make sure to season breadcrumbs before proceeding.

Pat dry tofu, and slice into 1/2 inch slices. Cut slices into thirds, and place into egg replacer mixture. Roll tofu in bread mixture and place in hot oil. Cook for 1-2 minutes and place on paper towel to cool. Repeat as necessary until tofu is used up.

Serve immediately with any of your favorite meals. (An excellent source of vegetable protein!) Makes 4-6 servings.
